Holiday Mail for Heroes

This year Victoria chose to color 50 special Christmas cards and send them to the Red Cross. They will distribute these cards to the Americans overseas.

What a great program and an awesome activity for all involved!

** A Message From Red Cross**

Thanks to the generosity of Americans this holiday season, the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes collected more than 1.4 million cares for service members, veterans and their families in the United States and abroad.

Every card received was first screened for hazardous materials by Pitney Bowes and then reviewed by Red Cross volunteers working in one of 17 sorting locations around the country.

In addition to sending cards, thousands of people also signed the Holiday Mail for Heroes Group Card. More than 3,700 signatures from thoughtful individuals all over the country symbolize heartfelt thanks to our service members, veteran’s and their families.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2008 Holiday Mail for Heroes program. Be sure to check back with the Red Cross and Pitney Bowes in Fall 2009 for information on this year’s program.
