This is the Diamond family!
We are a homeschooling family for five years. It has been a dream of mine for a long time to create a place on the web to share with other homeschooling families the treasures the Lord has given to us. Over the years, we have tried every curriculum on the market: from A Beka to Unit Studies; from HOW to SOW. I have to say that Student of the Word was the answer to my heart’s cry for the last two years. It got us grounded into the Word and has grown a deeper love of God into our lives, an opened a door for me to do Unit Studies according to what the Lord wants to teach my daughter.
My name is Karen. I am a single-stay-at-home-mom. I work from home only by the Grace of God that I am able to continue to do so. I am a “consultant/ghost-writer” for a large corpor-ation. I write-up legal documents to form corporations, mergers, acquisitions, and documents needed to take a small company public. At this point, many people ask about the stock market, and I don’t.
My family consists of two daughters: Athena, age 24 and Victoria, age 14. You won’t find much information here about my oldest daughter because she is now on her own living a successful life of dedication to the Lord.
You will get to know my youngest daughter through the postings of this blog. She is a fun-loving, giggly girl with a servant’s heart. Who one day wants to grow up to be a marine biologist. She is praying (me too) that she is able to complete this task without having to leave home for college. Prayerfully by then, it be an online class that she can take and still be at home under her mother’s authority. Her God is not too big to do that for her!
We believe He will do it for her, since He has put that desire and love into her heart for His creation.
This blog, “God’sGem4Life” is a combination of three of my blogs that I had on homeschoolblogger since 2007/2008. My homeschool blog, LivingWaters; my personal blog, KarensKorner; and my teaching blog, GodsGem4Life. However, I just couldn’t keep up with three blogs so I combined everything into one blog. I pray this blog will be a huge blessing to you and your family.
